In recent months, Haxhi Zeka University has been intensively engaged in preparations for the Second Conference of the Dukagjini Regional Economic Forum (FERD) titled “PERSPECTIVES AND STRATEGIES FOR COOPERATION AND SUSTAINABLE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE DIGITAL AGE.” FERD was established by Haxhi Zeka University in collaboration with the municipalities of Pejë, Klinë, Istog, Deçan, Junik, and Malishevë. As of today, the Komuna e Gjakovës has also joined the Forum.
The Rector of UHZ, Prof. Dr. Armand Krasniqi, together with his collaborators, visited the Municipality of Gjakova, where they were received by the Mayor, Mr. Ardian Gjini. During the visit, Rector Krasniqi presented Haxhi Zeka University and the purpose of establishing FERD, highlighting the mutual benefits of this cooperation. Following this meeting, in order to institutionalize the collaboration, the two institutional leaders signed a Cooperation Agreement, whose main objective is the promotion and economic, academic, and social development of the region.
Mayor Gjini thanked the Rector for the visit and expressed his willingness to support this significant initiative, which enhances the opportunities for the municipality he represents in implementing activities that contribute to regional economic development.
