After several months of dedicated work and commitment with all the municipalities of Dukagjini and beyond, today the Rector of Haxhi Zeka University, Prof. Dr. Armand Krasniqi, and the Mayor of the Municipality of Deçan, Mr. Bashkim Ramosaj, signed the first Memorandum of Cooperation in support of the concept document for the establishment of the Regional Economic Forum “Dukagjini” (FERD).
FERD aims to promote the economic, academic, and social development of the region and seeks to foster regional dialogue in support of economic policies, as well as social, political, and cultural values.
Representatives of the two institutions pledged to work together in advancing innovative ideas that lead to the drafting of investment projects of interest to the region and beyond, encouraging and promoting foreign direct investment, and improving the business climate.
According to the memorandum, the institutions will engage in cooperation in drafting joint strategies, projects, and programs aimed at investments that enhance the quality of education, innovation, staff training, and the economic competitiveness of the region.
In the near future, memoranda of cooperation will also be signed with other municipalities of the Dukagjini region and beyond.
Improving the economic, academic, and social life of students and citizens of the Dukagjini region remains a key objective of UHZ, as outlined in the FERD document.
